The HopBarn
Situated just 2 miles from the historical Minster Town of Southwell, The HopBarn offers a secluded get away for anyone wishing to experience the English countryside. The HopBarn is located on a working family farm surrounded by approximately 100 acres of private land. The land is currently included in the Higher Level Stewardship scheme (HLS), a scheme designed and implemented to enable farms to promote ecology and therefore increase flora and fauna within the area. As a result, the farm has created a natural habitat for a wide variety of flowers, birds, bees and other wild animals. Guests who reside at The HopBarn, have private access to the trails that surround the farm and can therefore enjoy the beauty and serenity of the area. Further public trails around the locality provide walkers and cyclists stunning views over the local countryside. The HopBarn itself is a redevelopment of an 18th Century Farm stead. In agricultural use until 2010, the buildings were fully restored to include the accommodation block. The accommodation retains many of the features of the original farm buildings.
The pleasure for many guests who have resided at The HopBarn is the total sense of privacy and being far from public places. For ourselves as hosts, it is the opportunity that we can provide a secluded place to reside whilst exploring this part of the East Midlands.
