An evening dedicated to the raw lyrics and might of classic and popular blues numbers to help get you through the dark winter months... spring is just around the corner!
Featuring The HopYards, leona Lewis (vocals) , Mike Mellor (Double Bass), Stuart Poole (Keys) and Terri Vickerstaff (Electric Guitar). The HopYards offer a classic mix of some well known blues numbers as well as some new interpretations of less known works.
Karen Macleod, is an accomplished fingerstyle guitarist and singer who plays an eclectic mix of Country Blues, Ragtime, American folk, Country and Bluegrass and also writes her own material. She spent two years living in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia before hoboing across the USA on freight trains - you can expect to hear influences of these experiences in her well-crafted instrumentals and original songs.
